Y. Elaine Rasmussen
Founder & CEO | Wealth Aligment Co-Pilot
I help high-achievers turn “I make good money” into“I’m building real wealth.”
What I do...
At Do Different Better, I create experiences and tools that make wealth-alignment practical, culturally intelligent, and actually doable:
-
Live workshops + experiences that turn confusion into a 90-day plan
-
Digital assessments + reports that help you see what you own, what you owe, and what’s next
-
Roundtables + trainings for people who want real conversations (not flexing competitions)
-
Advisory + facilitation for organizations working at the intersection of capital, community, and impact
My signature approach blends strategy, straight talk, and deep respect for the real lives people are living.
How do I know...
As someone who has personally struggled with money, I've learned so much about my limiting beliefs and the undue influence of my money trauma, I pursued a career in finance and investing.
I’ve spent over two decades operating across philanthropy, government, education, entertainment, and finance—helping leaders and organizations make smarter financial decisions with resources, relationships, and risk.
I’m also the founder and CEO of Social Impact Now!, a certified B-Corp social finance and impact investing advisory firm, and the founder of ConnectUP! Institute, an enterprise development studio focused on building capital access and capability for underestimated entrepreneurs and investors.
Translation: I’ve been in the rooms where money gets moved—and I’m here to make sure more of us know how the room works.
My philosophy
Most people don’t need “more motivation.” They need:
-
clarity (what’s true right now)
-
a system (so progress isn’t based on mood)
-
confidence (built through practice, not hype)
This is financial empowerment with receipts.
If you’re here, you’re probably one of these people:
-
You earn well, but you’re not where you want to be yet
-
You’re the “responsible one,” and everyone assumes you’re fine
-
You want to build wealth without becoming someone you don’t respect
-
You’re ready to go from hoping to planning
If that’s you, welcome. You’re exactly on time.
