Terms & Conditions

Effective January 1, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of dodifferentbetter.com (the “Site”) and any content, subscriptions, digital products, physical merchandise, packages, events, and services offered by Do Different Better (“DDB,” “we,” “us,” “our”) (collectively, the “Services”).

By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, do not use the Services.

1) Who we are

Do Different Better
550 Vandalia, Saint Paul, MN 55104
hello@dodifferentbetter.com | 651.242.9264

2) Eligibility

You must be 18+ (or the age of majority where you live) to purchase or enter into subscriptions/packages, unless a specific program explicitly allows otherwise.

3) What we offer

The Services may include (now or later): educational content, videos/podcasts, quizzes/assessments, paid and free reports, webinars, roundtables, consulting/facilitation/advisory services, speaking engagements, ticketed events, subscriptions/memberships, digital products, and physical merchandise with shipping.

Some offerings may have extra terms posted on the relevant page or checkout screen (“Offering Terms”). If Offering Terms conflict with these Terms, the Offering Terms control for that offering.

4) Not financial/legal/tax advice

DDB provides education and information, not financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. Using the Services does not create a fiduciary relationship. You are responsible for your decisions and outcomes.

5) Accounts, registrations, and accurate info

You agree to provide accurate and current information when registering, subscribing, purchasing, or requesting services. We may refuse, suspend, or cancel access if information appears fraudulent or violates these Terms.

6) Purchases, payments, and taxes

All prices are displayed at checkout and may change. You authorize us (and our payment processors) to charge your chosen payment method. You are responsible for applicable taxes, duties, and fees unless stated otherwise.

IMPORTANT POLICIES (READ THIS PART)

7) NO REFUNDS POLICY (events, subscriptions, packages, and products)

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS for:

  • event tickets (in-person or virtual)

  • subscriptions/memberships

  • packages (bundles of services, sessions, or credits)

  • digital products/downloads/reports

  • physical merchandise

Exception: If a refund is required by applicable law, we’ll comply.

Minnesota requires clear notice when a seller alters the default cash refund rule—so yes, this is your clear, conspicuous notice. (MN Revisor's Office)

8) Event tickets: transfers instead of refunds

No refunds. If you can’t attend, you may request a transfer credit to another DDB product or service, subject to these rules:

  • Credit amount: up to the amount paid (excluding non-refundable processing fees, if any)

  • Credit use: can be applied to eligible DDB offerings (events, digital products, packages, or services)

  • Expiration: credit must be used within 12 months of the original event date

  • How to request: email hello@dodifferentbetter.com with your order details

We may change speakers, schedules, format, venue, or platform as needed. If DDB cancels an event, we will provide either (a) transfer credit, or (b) another remedy required by law or posted Offering Terms.

9) Subscriptions/memberships (auto-renewal + cancellation)

If you purchase a subscription or membership, you authorize recurring billing at the price and frequency shown at checkout until you cancel.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time using the cancellation method provided in your account/subscription area or by emailing hello@dodifferentbetter.com.

  • Cancellation will stop future renewals.

  • Access typically continues until the end of the current billing period (unless an offering states cancellation is immediate).

  • For Minnesota consumers, cancellation of an indefinite auto-renew subscription must take effect no later than 31 days after a verified notice of termination (unless you choose a later date). (MN Revisor's Office)

Price changes

We may change subscription pricing with prior notice, effective at the next renewal, unless prohibited by law.

No refunds on subscriptions

No refunds for partial periods, unused time, or unredeemed benefits (except where required by law).

10) Packages (bundles, credits, coaching/service packages)

Packages may include multiple sessions, credits, or deliverables.

  • No refunds.

  • Expiration: unless stated otherwise at checkout, package credits expire 12 months from purchase.

  • Rescheduling: reschedules must follow the booking rules provided for that package.

  • No-shows / late cancels: may count as used credits (unless offering terms state otherwise).

  • Transferability: packages are for the purchaser only unless Offering Terms explicitly allow transfer.

11) Digital products, downloads, reports, and gated content

When you purchase or access a digital product, report, download, or gated content, you receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license for your personal/internal use.

You may not copy, share, resell, distribute, publish, or use our materials to create competing products or services.

No refunds once delivered/accessed (except as required by law).

12) Physical merchandise + shipping

Shipping

Shipping timelines are estimates, not guarantees. Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery to the carrier, to the extent permitted by law.

You are responsible for providing a correct shipping address. If a package is returned due to an incorrect address or failed delivery, you may need to pay reshipping costs.

Damaged/defective items

Because all sales are final, we do not accept general returns or refunds.
If an item arrives damaged or defective, contact hello@dodifferentbetter.com within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number. We may, at our discretion:

  • replace the item (same or comparable), or

  • provide store credit

13) Chargebacks and disputes

If you have an issue, contact us first. Unwarranted chargebacks may result in loss of access to Services, cancellation of accounts/subscriptions, and ineligibility for future purchases.

14) Intellectual property

All content, branding, materials, frameworks, downloads, and assets are owned by or licensed to DDB and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our marks or materials without written permission.

15) User submissions (feedback, testimonials, comments)

If you submit content (feedback, testimonials, comments, survey responses), you represent you have the right to submit it. You grant DDB a worldwide, royalty-free license to use it for operating, improving, and promoting the Services, unless you request otherwise in writing.

16) Prohibited uses

You agree not to: violate laws, harass others, scrape data, upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, infringe rights, impersonate others, or use our materials to compete with DDB.

We may suspend/terminate access for violations.

17) Third-party links and tools

The Site may link to or embed third-party tools (e.g., video, social platforms, analytics). We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.

18) Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

19) Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DDB WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS/REVENUE/DATA.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID DDB FOR THE SPECIFIC PAID OFFERING GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT, OR $100 IF YOU PAID NOTHING, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

20) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DDB and its affiliates from claims arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

21) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk, or engage in misconduct. Sections that should survive termination will survive.

22) Governing law and venue (Minnesota)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Unless prohibited by applicable law, disputes must be brought in state or federal courts located in Minnesota, and you consent to jurisdiction there.

23) Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The Effective Date shows the latest revision. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
